Despite a great performance by Ohio State left fielder Matt Brinkworth, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defeated the Buckeyes by the score of 5-2 at Castles Ballpark. Brinkworth went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. The Yellow Jackets move to 16-22 with the win, while the Buckeyes drop to 20-18.

Pat Christiansen swatted a 2-run home run for Georgia Tech in the bottom of the first. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
