Benefiting from Jace Walthall's productive game, the Auburn Tigers downed the Clemson Tigers, 8-5. Walthall went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Tigers. The Tigers bumped their record to 21-17 with this latest triumph.

Walthall contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Auburn in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-4, Walthall took a fastball from Matt McQueen and stroked the single to center. His 42nd hit of the season allowed the Tigers to leap in front, 6-5.

"It feels good to get this one," Walthall told the Auburn Herald.
