Thompson Hits 2 home runs in Owls Win

A 7-RBI performance from Jon Thompson, who is rated as the 42nd best prospect by BNN, helped the Rice Owls beat the Fresno State Bulldogs, 16-8. The Owls bumped their record to 19-18 with this latest triumph.

Thompson had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Owls went on to win.

"We came out aggressive," said Owls manager Jimmy Naylor. "We came out swinging the bats."
