| Sycamores Get Road Win, 10-4 | The Indiana State Sycamores powered past the Tennessee Volunteers, 10-4, at Madera College Grounds. Jerry Douglas was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Brian McCollum got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Volunteers to 3 earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Michael Carter recorded his 3rd save for Indiana State.
The Sycamores got a big at-bat from third baseman Travis Preston. For the game, Preston was 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Indiana State a 7-3 lead.
"We came out aggressive," said Sycamores manager Chris Dunn. "We came out swinging the bats."
The Sycamores bumped their record to 19-17 with this latest triumph.
