| Tar Heels Win 5-4 Walk-Off | Alabama got a terrific performance from pitcher Jesse Weller, but it wasn't enough to beat the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina won the Bruisers Ballpark contest, 5-4. Weller was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Noah Speech, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. North Carolina now has a 5-game win streak.
Josh Henry was the walk-off hero for North Carolina. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tar Heels right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I believe in our guys," said North Carolina skipper William Wilson. "I like the energy they're playing with."
