| Extra-Inning Win by Bulldogs over Tigers | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Fresno State Bulldogs got the win.
The Fresno State Bulldogs overcame a good performance by LSU shortstop Jack Weber to knock off LSU, 4-3, at South Paris College Grounds. Weber was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. Fresno State reliever Ryan Mathews picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Bobby Bruce took the loss.
Matt Weston made it 3-2, Fresno State, in the top of the tenth when he reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Bulldogs win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Weston.
The Bulldogs bumped their record to 21-14 with this latest triumph.
