| Cougars Win at Arizona State, 8-2 | The Houston Cougars topped the Arizona State Sun Devils, 8-2, with shortstop Jose Miranda playing a big role. Miranda went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Cougars in the win. Houston, at 16-19, occupies 17th place in the Cliff Gustafson.
Miranda had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Cougars went on to win.
