| Tigers Subdue Georgia Tech, 3-1 | The Auburn Tigers picked up a win at Zodiac Ballpark, knocking off the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 3-1. Starting pitcher Brian Campbell, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Campbell surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The Tigers bumped their record to 19-16 with this latest triumph.
Nate Beattie aided the Auburn cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
