Barrow 5-for-6 for Tigers
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Ron Barrow said his club's tilt with the Tennessee Volunteers "felt almost like batting practice." The 19-year-old third baseman went a remarkable 5-for-6 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Auburn Tigers, who were topped by the Volunteers, 9-7.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Tigers manager Conrad Orton said. "Sometimes Ron is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-6 and lose than go 0-for-6 and lose."

Ron Barrow hit a two-run home run off Seth Watkins in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Seth Watkins in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Nick Wickline in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Roller in the 8th, walked in the 10th and doubled in the 12th.

Barrow is hitting at a .382 mark this season. His stats show 14 home runs, 36 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played 34 games for the Tigers.
