| Kresky Stars for Volunteers in 15-4 Win | With designated hitter Chris Kresky leading the charge, the Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Kansas Jayhawks, 15-4, at Brutes Ballpark. Kresky, who is tied for 10th in the SBL in home runs with 11, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Ben Lucas earned the win for Tennessee. He lasted 7 innings, allowing no earned runs on 1 hit, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0. The Volunteers bumped their record to 19-14 with this latest triumph.
The Volunteers got a big at-bat from center fielder Randy Poston. For the game, Poston was 1-5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Tennessee a 4-0 lead.
