The California Golden Bears defeated the Texas A&M Aggies, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Jordan Johnson, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Jack MacDonald in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Lee Caldwell took the loss.
This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the 11th, Joe Gamble hit a sacrifice fly. The Golden Bears took the lead, 5-4.
