| Miller 3-4 to Pull Ragin Cajuns to .500 | Louisiana-Layfayette and California duked it out at Prisoners Ballpark and the Ragin Cajuns came out victorious.
The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns topped the California Golden Bears, 10-8, with youngster Bill Miller playing a key role. Miller was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Ragin Cajuns in the win. Josh Rolling got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings.
Danny Stephenson aided the Louisiana-Layfayette cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Artie Phillips said.
The Ragin Cajuns bumped their record to 16-16 with this latest triumph.
