| Bulldogs Lose, 4-1, at Wolverines Stadium | Baylor Bears starter Bengt Beekman was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 4-1. Beekman, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Justin McNamee earned save number 4.
Tyler Webb, who is tied for 7th in the RDL with a .466 on-base percentage, aided the Baylor cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Beekman.
At 11-19, the Bears are currently 20th in the Cliff Gustafson.
