| Longhorns Get Win, Extend Streak to 4 | Arizona State got a terrific game from right fielder Jack Lindberg. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Texas, 7-4. Lindberg was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs. Texas reliever Eric Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jonathan Hagen was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Hector Rocha, his 1st.
Jayden Crayton, who is tied for 3rd in the RDL in RBI with 34, chipped in for Texas with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
Crayton told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
