| Braden Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Tulane in Walk-Off Win | In a high-scoring game between Tulane and LSU, left fielder David Fields was a difference-maker. The 19-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 9-8 Tulane win. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to Jon Bridges in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Bobby Bruce took the loss. The Green Wave bumped their record to 18-11 with this latest triumph.
The Green Wave got a big at-bat from pinch hitter John Braden. For the game, Braden was 1 for 1 with a double. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Tulane a 9-8 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Fields told the Tulane Gazette.
