| Blazers Jostle Fans 17 Tornadoes | Everything was working for James Jostle today at Arson Arena. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The screwball was working.
In an unforgettable performance, the 29-year-old Jostle fanned 17 Tornadoes and sparked the Bloomington Blazers to a 10-0 victory over Kansas City. He left Tornadoes hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.
"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Bloomington manager Román Cruz. "His location and command were really something."
In addition to collecting 17 strikeouts over 7 innings, Jostle allowed 3 hits and no walks in a superlative outing.
"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Jostle said with a smile.
This year Jostle has recorded a 9-4 mark. In 15 starts he has fanned 120 batters in 99 innings with a 2.91 ERA. |
