| Wolverines Lose, 12-7, at Scandals Ballpark | Michigan pitcher John Foley had a good game, even if his team did not. The Wolverines dropped a 12-7 decision to South Carolina at Scandals Ballpark. Foley came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters . The win was credited to Chris Huntley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Bob McGaha took the loss. Even with the win, the Gamecocks have a dismal 9-20 record.
The Gamecocks got a big at-bat from center fielder Jacob Parrish. For the game, Parrish went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave South Carolina a 8-7 lead.
