Razorbacks Prevail, 2-1, Over Vanderbilt

The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements at Ramparts Ballpark enjoyed themselves.

The Arkansas Razorbacks downed the Vanderbilt Commodores, 2-1, at Ramparts Ballpark. Brandon Broussard led the way, going 1-for-2 for Arkansas. Arkansas reliever Aaron Glover was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jesus Garza. T.J. Dyer earned his 8th save in 9 tries.

The Razorbacks got a big at-bat from right fielder Justin DeBrino. For the game, DeBrino was 1-4. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave Arkansas a 2-1 lead.

"This was a good win for us," said DeBrino. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The Razorbacks have an impressive 19-9 record.
