| Horned Frogs Edge Past Bears, 8-7 | There was no shortage of dramatics at Dingoes Ballpark today.
The TCU Horned Frogs beat the Baylor Bears, 8-7, at Dingoes Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Adam Ashton, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. TCU reliever Ray Torrence picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Eric Young absorbed the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when TCU catcher Gary Goodwin, facing Eric Young, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Horned Frogs the 8-7 win.
"I like the roll we're on," said TCU manager Scott Knight.
The second-place Horned Frogs have won 4 straight games.
