| Sooners Turn Back Clemson, 5-4 | The Oklahoma Sooners scored a 5-4 win versus the Clemson Tigers at Biglerville College Fields. Oklahoma shortstop Nathaniel King nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Oklahoma reliever Kyle Brisson was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Brad Hennen took the loss. Oklahoma is in 14th place in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 12-13.
King had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Brad Hennen, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Sooners a 5-4 lead. It was the 28th hit of the year for King.
"It was a solid team effort," said King after the game.
