| Horned Frogs Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Louisiana-Layfayette | The TCU Horned Frogs topped the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns, 7-3, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Dingoes Ballpark. The player of the game was TCU first baseman Tom Bach. Dave Brooks earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Greg Camp saved it for TCU.
The Horned Frogs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jesus Fernandez. For the game, Fernandez went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave TCU a 3-0 lead.
