| Tar Heels Mow Down Sycamores, 11-4 | A 3-RBI performance from Tony Garnica, who is tied for 5th in the SBL in doubles with 8, helped the North Carolina Tar Heels beat the Indiana State Sycamores, 11-4. The Tar Heels bumped their record to 14-10 with this latest triumph.
Garnica had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Jesse Mayer, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Tar Heels a 2-1 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Garnica.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager William Wilson said.
