The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Oklahoma Sooners, 7-4, at Biglerville College Fields. Kansas first baseman Randy Rizzi was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. At 9-14, the Jayhawks find themselves in 22nd place in the Ron Fraser Division.

Fred Gates aided the Kansas cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate. He drove in 2 runs.
