Kansas City and Bloomington duked it out at Arson Arena and the Tornadoes came out victorious.

Abalendu Manglorkar helped his team muscle past the Bloomington Blazers, 5-2. In the game, the Kansas City second baseman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Kansas City reliever Will Taylor was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Ducky Goosie took the loss for Bloomington. Nate Miller notched his 23rd save in 23 chances.

The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from first baseman Lazarus Obombo. For the game, Obombo went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 4-2 lead.

Obombo told a Kansas City Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Kansas City improves to 46-26 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.
