| Potts goes 4-for-5, Sycamores Move to 14-8 | Getting a good performance from right fielder Kevin Potts, the Indiana State Sycamores defeated the Virginia Cavaliers, 7-5. Potts was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Sycamores. Cody Cody got the save, the 5th for him this season. The Sycamores bumped their record to 14-8 with this latest triumph.
The Sycamores got a big at-bat from first baseman Steve Holeman. For the game, Holeman was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave Indiana State a 5-4 lead.
