Getting a good performance from left fielder Jaden Calhoun, the Miami Hurricanes defeated the Florida Gators, 6-4. Calhoun went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Hurricanes. Miami starter Steve Harvey was credited with the win after throwing 83 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Hurricanes bumped their record to 11-11 with this latest triumph.

With Miami leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Calhoun hit a fastball from George Thomas for a run-scoring triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Hurricanes ahead, 2-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Calhoun told the Miami Citizen.
