The Oklahoma State Cowboys took South Carolina pitcher Mike Buckley's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Canaries Ballpark. The final score had Oklahoma State getting past the Gamecocks, 4-3. Buckley went 5 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 6. The Cowboys have an impressive 13-8 record.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Oklahoma State first baseman Justin Peacher, facing Brian Sherman, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Cowboys the 4-3 win.

After the game, Oklahoma State manager Peter Hawkins applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
