| Titans Edge 49'ers, 3-2 | Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State duked it out at Ballpark of Macclenny College and the Titans came out victorious.
A 3-RBI performance from Justin Rinesmith, who is rated as the 89th best prospect by BNN, helped the Cal State Fullerton Titans beat the Long Beach State 49'ers, 3-2. Jake Pettyjohn earned the save, his 1st, for the Titans.
Rinesmith contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Cal State Fullerton in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Rinesmith took a fastball from Chris Lowry and stroked the home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Titans to leap in front, 3-1.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Cal State Fullerton manager Totoya Sakei.
The Titans bumped their record to 12-9 with this latest triumph.
