| Green Wave Lose, 8-4, at Ballpark of Storm Lake College | The South Mississippi Golden Eagles defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 8-4, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Ballpark of Storm Lake College, with South Mississippi third baseman Jeremy Brown named player of the game. South Mississippi reliever Quincy Daly was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jon Good took the loss. The Golden Eagles bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
The Golden Eagles got a big at-bat from center fielder Brody Scott. For the game, Scott went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave South Mississippi a 2-1 lead.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Scott.
