Bulldogs Fall to .500 After Loss to Bulldogs

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from D.J. Cohen, the Fresno State Bulldogs defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 9-5. Cohen went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Bulldogs. Fresno State reliever Eduardo Flores got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Rich Elliott was tagged with the loss. Chris Hancock got credit for the save for Fresno State. It was his 5th of the year.

Mark Cummings, who leads the RDL in hits with 33, contributed to the Fresno State win with a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
