Buckeyes Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Vanderbilt

The Ohio State Buckeyes took Vanderbilt pitcher Josh Kahlich's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. The final score had Ohio State getting past the Commodores, 6-4. Kahlich went 5.2 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 8. Chris Hicks, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. The Buckeyes bumped their record to 11-9 with this latest triumph.

Ohio State took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, pinch hitter Jayden Parchman hit a grand slam home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"It was a solid team effort," said Parchman after the game.
