| Marauders Turn Back Kansas City, 4-2 | Maple Marauders starter Norbert Philips was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Kansas City Tornadoes, 4-2. Philips got the win, improving to 3-7. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. Philips allowed 2 earned runs. Minoru Aoki was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 14 save opportunities.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from first baseman Shunso Fukuda. For the game, Fukuda was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Maple a 2-0 lead.
