| Marzano 3-3 as Cardinals Squeeze Past Texas A&M | Stanford third baseman Jared Marzano made his presence felt in the 6-5 Cardinals triumph over the Texas A&M Aggies. Marzano went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Stanford reliever Billy Taylor picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Brent Herk was saddled with the loss. Stanford is now 7-12, while Texas A&M is 6-13.
Travis Estabrook aided the Stanford cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"Enjoyed this one," Estabrook told the Stanford Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
