| Black Knights Lose to Rhinos, 9-4 | The rain came, as predicted, but the Rubber City Rhinos and Brooklyn Black Knights were able to complete their ballgame.
Akio Ishii knocked in 3 runs to help Rubber City beat Brooklyn, 9-4. Ishii produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Mark Edwards got the win, improving to 4-9. He held the Black Knights to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1.
Emanuel Torres, who is tied for 9th in the RCL in stolen bases with 20, aided the Rubber City cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Torres. "And not try to do too much."
Even with the win, the Rhinos have a dismal 19-49 record.
