Trojans Jolt Bruins with Late Rally

The USC Trojans picked up a win at Ballpark of Shiprock College, knocking off the UCLA Bruins, 8-6. Starting pitcher Chris Wilson was an essential part of his team's success. USC reliever Greg Molloy picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Billy Dills was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Cory Roberts, his 5th.

The Trojans got a big at-bat from right fielder John Teague. For the game, Teague was 1-1 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave USC a 7-6 lead.

"Chris was pounding the zone," said USC manager Tommy Hayes.

The win boosts the Trojans to 8-11. The loss puts the Bruins at 9-10.
