| Horned Frogs Walk Off with Win | The inspired effort of Rice second baseman Ken Kinch was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs. Kinch went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. TCU reliever Kyle Marlow picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Daniel Cashier was saddled with the loss. TCU has an impressive 12-6 record.
TCU won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Daniel Cashier on the mound for Rice, third baseman Rick Peck hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Horned Frogs fans to their feet.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Peck.
