| Green Wave Walk Off with Win | The Green Wave faced a stiff challenge from California pitcher Sam Farnsworth, but persevered to claim a win at Berthoud College Grounds. The final score was 4-2. Farnsworth went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Tulane reliever Mike Baker picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kevin Gibbons was saddled with the loss. The Green Wave have an impressive 12-6 record.
Tulane won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With two outs and Kevin Gibbons on the mound for California, second baseman Wayne Flores hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Green Wave fans to their feet.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tulane skipper Jonathan Ross.
