| Lombardi Hits 2 home runs in Buckeyes Win | Ohio State shortstop Jason Lombardi played a vital role in his team's 6-2 triumph over Clemson. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Ohio State. Chris Hicks earned save number 5. The Buckeyes bumped their record to 10-8 with this latest triumph.
Lombardi had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Ben Satterfield, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Buckeyes a 6-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Lombardi.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Lombardi said.
