| Seminoles Score Late to Upend Tigers, 5-3 | The Florida State Seminoles topped the Missouri Tigers, 5-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Ridge College. The player of the game was Florida State third baseman Bryan Baker. Florida State reliever Jeremy Bishop picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kevin Seward was saddled with the loss. The Seminoles bumped their record to 9-9 with this latest triumph.
Baker had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Bob Kelly, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Seminoles a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Baker.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Baker told the Florida State Times.
