| Cyclones Turn Back Kansas, 6-5 | The inspired effort of Kansas right fielder Chris Saipe was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Iowa State Cyclones. Saipe was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Iowa State reliever Julian Battles picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Chase Crapser was saddled with the loss. Chris Schmidt, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
