Cowboys Lose, 6-3, at Bruisers Ballpark

North Carolina and Oklahoma State duked it out at Bruisers Ballpark and the Tar Heels came out victorious.

The North Carolina Tar Heels topped the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 6-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Bruisers Ballpark. The player of the game was North Carolina pitcher John Neal. Noah Speech, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

Josh Henry had a big run-scoring double for the Tar Heels in the bottom of the third inning. With North Carolina trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Keith McCoy and stroked the double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tar Heels ahead, 2-1.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Henry told the North Carolina Citizen.

The Tar Heels have an impressive 11-7 record.
