| Crimson Tide Score Late, Top Tigers, 4-3 | The Alabama Crimson Tide did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Missouri Tigers at Titans Ballpark. Nobody did more than first baseman Chris Farrar, who captured player of the game honors. David Kress finished the game for Alabama and earned his 4th save. Alabama is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Farrar had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Jonathan Lewis, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Crimson Tide a 4-3 lead. It was the 23rd hit of the year for Farrar.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Farrar told the Alabama Citizen.
