| Multi-HR Game for Pyke in 2-1 Win | The Miami Hurricanes eked out a 2-1 win versus the North Carolina Tar Heels at Gremlins Ballpark. Nobody did more than right fielder Joe Pyke, who captured player of the game honors. The Hurricanes bumped their record to 9-8 with this latest triumph.
Pyke had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-2 fastball from Werner Stalker, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Hurricanes a 2-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Pyke.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said North Carolina manager William Wilson. "The effort was great."
