The Ohio State Buckeyes did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Auburn Tigers at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. Nobody did more than first baseman Neal Bryant, who captured player of the game honors. Earning his 4th save of the year was Chris Hicks. The Tigers, now 7-10, have lost 4 in a row.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when catcher Danny Valdivia, who is tied for 7th in the SBL in triples with 1, drew a walk. The Buckeyes went on to win.

"It feels good to get this one," Bryant told the Ohio State Bulletin.
