| Main Goes Off, But Buckeyes Win | The Kansas Jayhawks got a sterling performance from shortstop Eric Main, but the Buckeyes still prevailed, 9-5. Main was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Tucker Carlos earned the win for Ohio State. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no earned runs on 2 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. The Buckeyes bumped their record to 8-8 with this latest triumph.
Danny Valdivia, who is tied for 6th in the SBL in triples with 1, aided the Ohio State cause with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 5 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Valdivia told the Ohio State Bulletin.
