| Sooners Lose, 4-2, at Titans Ballpark | Alabama pitcher Ryan Oleski did his part in helping his team beat the Oklahoma Sooners, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Oleski got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. Oleski allowed 1 earned run. David Kress earned the save for Alabama, his 3rd of the year.
Jon Firestone went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI for Alabama. The 20-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Dan Fairchild. It was his 8th RBI of the season.
"Credit where credit is due," said Oleski, "this was a team win."
Alabama is now 6-9. Oklahoma is 7-8.
