| Green Wave Bang Out 9-2 Win Versus Louisiana-Layfayette | Louisiana-Layfayette got a terrific game from designated hitter James Jenkins. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Tulane, 9-2. Jenkins was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Trey Russo got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. Tulane has an impressive 10-5 record.
Zach LaVergne aided the Tulane cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
