| Gators Fall Short, 2-1, at Oklahoma | The exploits of shortstop Nathaniel King helped the Oklahoma Sooners defeat the Florida Gators, 2-1. King was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Reliever Tim Lane picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Tom Pollman took the loss. Oklahoma now owns a record of 7-7.
Nate Jacob went 1 for 3. He drove in 2 runs for Oklahoma. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tom Pollman. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," King said.
