| Texans Continue Skid Thanks to Kotas, Islanders | The Hawaii Islanders beat the Dallas Texans, 7-4, at Metroplex Park. The Islanders got a fine performance from catcher Carter Kotas, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Amaui Mahi'ai converted his 12th save in 14 tries. Dallas's current losing streak has reached 13 games.
Jordan Vargas, who is on pace to hit 44 home runs this season, aided the Hawaii cause with a 2-run single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-5. He drove in 2 runs.
