| Demon Deacans Get Road Win, 4-1 | The Iowa State Cyclones got a sterling performance from pitcher Doug Castro, but the Demon Deacans still prevailed, 4-1. Castro was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. The Demon Deacans bumped their record to 8-5 with this latest triumph.
The Demon Deacans got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Dan Teson. For the game, Teson went 1-2, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 1st hit of the season gave Wake Forest a 3-1 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Iowa State skipper Theodore Foster, "and it cost us."
